"I don't know how to bake or sew either." Luce frowned, but when Eliza mentioned draw or fold something for her, he brightened up.

"I think she would like that a lot."

"Yeah! What do you think she'd like most?" asks Eliza enthusiastically.

"I think she may like anything as long as we put a lot of care into it."

Eliza nods. "Yeah! But we should probably try and figure out what she likes most." She taps her chin, looking thoughtful. "Maybe we could post something on the bulletin board asking everyone about stuff they like, so she doesn't know we're making it for her specifically!"

"But," Luce responded, "What if everyone thought we were making things for them?"

"Well...then maybe we should wait a bit til it's closer to Christmas," suggests Eliza. "Because then it makes sense to give everyone gifts."

"I heard of Christmas at the castle, we don't have that back where I'm from."

Eliza nods understandingly. "What kind of holidays do you have then?"

"Monthly festivals celebrating an aspect of the Deity!" Luce seemed a little excited about it. "Winter is when the Deity can rest!"

Eliza blinks. There are a few Legendary Pokemon said to have multiple forms, but she doesn't know that much about them. Still, Luce's enthusiasm is infectious. "Oh! How do you celebrate, then?"

"The town puts on a big party,there are plays and games, and some people-" most if you're not Luce."enjoy a huuuuge dinner with the town. Kids get a present from their parents that ties into the Deity."

Eliza nods, taking in this new information. Although "a big party" seems like something that a lot of holidays do. "Are they good presents?" she asks, a little jokingly. She thinks they probably would be, if Luce is so excited about this.

"Last Festival I got my backpack which I had been looking at for a while, I also got some DVDs." He missed the Festivals from back home.

Eliza smiles at that. "Really? That's really nice of your parents! Was it a big surprise to see they got you that backpack?"

"My Dads told me my backpack from the year before was still good so I didn't need a new one. I was really happy when I got my new one."

Eliza chuckles a little. "That's the best way to do a surprise. Although there aren't any stores here, so I guess we can't really use that to figure out what people here want."

"There is no money here either it seems." Luce nodded, "My Dads normally do my gift shopping for me."

Eliza nods some more. "Yeah...maybe we just need to watch people more. If we can't think of anything, we can just draw pictures of themselves or something."

"Or just draw things that are just nice. Like birds."

Eliza chuckles. "Or flowers! I know how to make flowers out of origami, definitely."

"Whats an Origami?" Luce never heard of it before, and now seemed very curious. "Show me."

"It's folding paper into pretty patterns..." Eliza looks thoughtful. "Do you have any construction paper? Or just thicker paper in general."

Luce perked up at the mention of it, he moved over to a box at the foot of his sleeping area. "I have a lot of it."

"Great!" says Eliza. "You've got any in square shapes? That's best for origami."
