Luce perked up at the mention of it, he moved over to a box at the foot of his sleeping area. "I have a lot of it."

"Great!" says Eliza. "You've got any in square shapes? That's best for origami."

No, but I got scissors [He pronounced scissors as ski-ssors]

Okay! Well, there's actually a very easy way to make squares out of paper that isn't square. So let's make some, and then I can show you some flower folds! [She'll demonstrate the way to fold over one corner of a rectangle to make a square shape, as well as how to cut along folds for better straight lines. Of course she's also watching to make sure Luce handles the scissors correctly.]

[Luckily Luce's scissors are child-safe as he carefully mimics Eliza's fold and cut technique. He unfolds his and the edge is a little ragged.]
