When Luce sees Eliza he runs to open his door. "Eliza!" he said with a smile, "Come in, I was having tea." Well, a tea party with his plush toys. "You can-" and then he saw the creature.
She holds it up so he can see it better. "It's an armadillo! From the world beyond that door Zephyr made! It's harmless, too. Plus I brought a book about some of the other creatures in that place!"
"That is so cool." he said with a smile. "Whats its name?" after all it needed a name if it were going to live on this side of the magical gate that he purposely been avoiding.
"I get to name it?" He said, eyes wide. He never had a pet before, so he never had the privilege of naming a living thing. This was something he would have to think long and hard on, after all names were something to help describe someone. Some even said personalities could be formed around a name. Parents thought long and hard on what to name their children, to see what traits they would want and what would go with the family name.
Luce looked at it as he kept on petting the shelled creature, as his eyes widened as he finally thought of a name.
Eliza blinks a few times, but then nods. After all, there are a lot of people who call their Pokemon by species names, so it's not too odd to her. She pets it a bit as well. "I think that works! It's not like there are any other armadillos around her to get mixed up with!"
Eliza nods. "Yeah! That depends on if people want to bring more over though." She decides not to mention what exactly they're doing to the other ones over there. "Although I guess they're pretty easy to catch." And hard to kill...
It was good Eliza didn't mention that or else Luce would have decided to go on a mission to save all the Armadillos.
"Its cool though, everyone should want one, right Armadillo?" he turned to ask the creature that was now sniffing around a little. It didn't seem to respond to Luce as it sat down between the Luce and Eliza.
Luce's eyes widen as a smile appeared on his face. "Yes, I was having one with a few of my friends." Well, plush friends. "You and Armadillo can come meet them and join up if you like."
With that he picked up Armadillo as well as he could and headed inside to his home. When Eliza steps in, she could see how everything was painted bright and friendly colors, everything was made for someone of Luce's size and nothing he could hurt himself on.
And by his bed was a low table set up for a tea party, and occupying three of the chairs were a plush bird, a plush frog and a plush green dog.
Eliza smiles as she looks around at the house. It's really quite nice, even if a bit small proportionally for her. She smiles even wider when she sees the three plush guests, and after a bit does a curtsying motion.
"Thank you very much for inviting me," she says. "And who are these three?"
"The castle?" asks Eliza curiously, even as she tries to find a spot to sit down that won't crowd her legs too much. "It's good that you were able to find more friends there, though!"
Luce went to get Eliza a cup and poured some tea into it and brought it over to her. The cup, like everything else, was brightly colored and had a bird pattern on it. "The place I was before here that took me from home.":
"I was in the gardens a lot, so I only heard of all the bad things, like the kids being turned into birds. I died once." he is very nonchalant about that.
Eliza chokes on her tea. "Wh-what?" she exclaims. "H-how did that happen? Who did it?" Who does she have to kill if they ever show up here, she doesn't ask. At least the stammering doesn't show up in her illusionary subtitles.
"I knew it was going to happen." he said, "Because I had to be judged. And she takes out people's hearts. Its okay though, I died before that three times." Talking about his previous lives was easy now.
"Who judged you?" growls Eliza. She's trying not to let her anger show too much, but she can't believe someone would apparently kill a little kid over this ind of "judgement."
"She is called the Hearteater. She is one of the many ghosts stuck in the castle. I feel bad for her." Luce frowned as he sat down at his table and looked at Frog and Dog.
"I had lives before this one." he said with a frown. "I remember their memories at times."
"...huh," says Eliza, a bit more softly. She supposes that with a ghost literally called "Hearteater," you get what you expect. She decides to move away from that subject for now, though.
"One life watched a lot, and one life was hurt a lot so he wanted to hurt others, and the third life was very angry." Luce reached over to grab Bird and cuddle the plush. Lux, Luce and Luke, the three hims before him.
Eliza nods in understanding. "Well, um...I...I hope it's not too scary or anything, learning about your other lives. And...and I guess if you want you can talk to me about it if you learn more?"

"Its name will be Armadillo."
Luce was not very good at naming things.
